Camporee is a District-level event that brings Scouts from all units together in the spirit of friendly competition, focused on the Scout Oath, Law, motto and slogan.

District Announcements
The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts in the same manner that the Silver Beaver is a national award presented by councils.
The award is available to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level.
The Unit Exceptional Scouter Award is for Adult Volunteers who have stepped up and gone beyond the expectations of their position. The award recipient is selected by the Unit Committee (Pack, Troop, Crew, Ship).
Nominations for each award have been extended until March 13, 2026 – send your nomination forms to Dani DeGrood at hbdscouts@gmail.com

Unit Pin Alert!
In the application process, the Boy Scouts of America state there are NO REFUNDS in the submittal process. Most don’t catch this statement. Please , please do not set your unit pin to “auto accept” online applications. Units need to have conversations with families prior to accepting the online applications. Thank you for all you do for your units and their youth.
