BOY SCOUTS OF
The 2008 July
4th Parade is just around the corner
Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture
Crews
(Class A Uniform required)
Fifty Pacifica District Boy
Scouts and Webelos will carry the Garrison American Flag.
Troop 1 will present the
Freedom Flag.
We will have a float for Tiger Cubs and younger Cub Scouts.
Although the design is still being developed, we anticipate that this will accommodate 20 to 30 people.
Tiger Cubs are not allowed to march in the parade (there is an age restriction) but may ride on the float.
Contact D.J. Clarke – djclarke93@hotmail..com – for float
decorating dates/times.
This
group will have about 50 Cub Scouts marching.
Each
Pack is encouraged to bring their own Pack Flag.
(No
Pack banners, please)
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will carry the award banners for the winning entries.
We will need about 15 Scouts and 8 adult leaders for this part of the parade.
.
There are a number of
activities for volunteer work with the July 4th programs. Assistance with the Run/Expo in the early
morning, security around Lake Park, assistance with the fireworks show and
merchandise sales, and help with parade coordination.
Please call
Colleen Neugebauer at 714-963-0180 or email to colleenneug@hotmail.com to
enter your Pack or Troop.
NOTES: Individual Troop and Pack entries will not be
accepted by the parade officials but may be combined with the groups
above. ALL Troop and Pack entries will
be handled through the Pacifica District Parade Coordinator, Colleen
Neugebauer.
PER PARADE RULES: NO roller blades, baby carriages, skate
boards, or bicycles.
Please cooperate and do not bring these to
the parade.
